This is awesome, but how do you get it not to bubble out? It bubbles out as soon as I add the baking soda.
ReplyDeleteI sprinkle the baking soda directly onto the tiles, add the vinegar next, and then scrub with a broom, and then mop up with clean water. No need to premix. As you've found out, the vinegar instantly makes the baking soda foam.
DeleteI clean rich lady's house. I say, NO! I don't clean windows and No! I don't clean grout. Too much work. Not too much pay me.
ReplyDeleteYes, I keep posting on your blog. I like it here. So much to learn. I actually did this using only the baking soda, water and a stiff broom. It really worked well. I wish I had know about the vinegar.
May I respond to the previous post?
Use a bigger bucket. Ya...
;-)
Deletehehe ya ... you def should add that it needs to be in a large container when mixing cuz even tho i know that baking soda and vinegar erupts, i forgot , and it went all over!
ReplyDeleteDO NOT use VINEGAR on travertine tiles! This would work great on ceramic tiles though!
ReplyDeleteThank you
DeleteDO NOT use VINEGAR OR BAKING SODA on tile if it has a sealent it took my finish off. I do need to have a new sealent put on now. It however did clean the grout beautifully. GOOD LUCK!
ReplyDeleteoh, my, goodness-what a difference this solution made on the kitchen grout. Thanks for the info.
ReplyDeleteYou are very welcome. Glad to hear the grout cleaner worked and thank you for the feed back!
DeleteThis cleaning technique is so easy, and really cheap to do. Though I am a bit apprehensive with using vinegar on tiles. I guess it depends on what tiles you use them on. Anyway, thanks for sharing your results with us. Good day!
