Le Bleu Peep's Breed of the Week : The Isbar




Around 1950 a Swedish Catholic monk named Martin Silverudd was toying around with Rhode Island chicken genetics and created a stunning silver feathered breed what is now called the "Isbar" (pronounced 'ice bar').  Silverudds goal was to create an auto-sexing breed that laid a high volume of unusually colored eggs.
