Deciding how you are going to permanently house your chickens is probably the most stressful and overwhelming part of the process. So lets try and make this as easy as possible.
Yes. We did the same. However, not everyone is able to build their own and I don't want anyone to not keep chickens because they are overwhelmed by the thought of building. Hope to find some good resources for well built affordable coops! :) Thanks for commenting
I started with one coop/run and added a mirror image with a screen door dividing them. If I want to add more I can and can separate them if needed. My 7 girls and Rocky the Rooster are in coops/runs that could accommodate 42 birds. Happy campers!
After looking at the quality built coops and the price tag that went with them....we built ours.
